I created little Jo-ees because I wanted an inexpensive way to connect with my baby and I didn’t want to carry around a heavy car seat. When I was looking into purchasing a baby sling I realized that other slings were very expensive, and not very fashionable, so I decided to create my own. When I made my first sling a whole new world opened up for me. With a sling I had two hands free to do whatever I wanted. My son was able to take a nice long nap wherever we were. I had more bonding time, and he was less fussy! These slings are so comfortable and versatile! My little Jo-ees baby sling is so easy to take with me anywhere, I can fold it up to be a little bigger than a disposable diaper! My sling is great not only for carrying around my son but I also have used it as a blanket and a cover up for when I am nursing. I proudly wear it everywhere!
As I wore my sling people would stop me, at the grocery store, at the mall, and ask me where I bought it. When I told them I made it myself I was consistently complimented on the workmanship. Women would come up to me and say they had been looking for something like that for so long and wanted to know where they could get one too. I had never realized that so many other people shared the need and desire to bond with their little ones. I decided that something had to be done… I had to share my sling with humanity; and this is how little Jo-ees was born. Now I have been selling my slings by word of mouth since 2009.
